by providers, for providers
no one person can run their own business, succeed, network, connect with their family, host events, plan ceu’s, mitigate burnout, and throw themselves into macro level advocacy work. it’s impossible to do every solitary thing necessary to thrive personally and successfully.
we’re here to help.
we’ve tried to think of everything you’d need to thrive as a mental health provider, and still lead a personal life you love. becoming a kmwc member is an investment in yourself as you grow your career and seek to explore new ventures in your life outside the office.

for less money than it takes to take your family to get nuggs and fries, be part of a respected collective of providers and advocates who got tired of lame networking, and wanted to unite together, coming exactly as we are, with our opinions, perspectives, and vibrant personalities.
Advocacy
we are committed to driving change through exclusive invitation-only advocacy initiatives designed for professionals passionate about mental wellness reform, accessibility, and education. These curated groups focus on legislative advocacy, community outreach, and innovative solutions for mental health challenges. Members involved in these initiatives gain direct access to collaborative think tanks, specialized training, and opportunities to influence policy and practice. If you're ready to take your advocacy to the next level, keep an eye out for invitations to join these high-impact initiatives.
Community
in the KMWC, we believe in the power of community. Our monthly gatherings, such as The Happy Hour, and our ceu trainings provide a laid-back setting for professionals to widen their networks, decompress, and reconnect with their passion for mental health. Additionally, our cowork + caffeinate gatherings offer opportunities to explore various provider offices, learn from colleagues across fields, and engage in personal development…or just get your notes done
Networking
Networking is a cornerstone of the KMWC. Our events are designed to facilitate meaningful connections among professionals. From profession-specific training sessions to mastermind wellness intensives, we provide platforms for collaboration and knowledge sharing. The katy mental wellness collective began in may 2024 with a group of mental health providers and local community advocates who got tired of burnout, inequity in our field, and isolation. we’ve always desired a membership collective that allowed individuals who wanted more from traditional meet ups and ceu gatherings. we value diversity, inclusion, and a variety of thought in all we do. it’s not a social club. it’s a place to grow in your life in and out of the office. from retreats to monthly events and exclusive discounts across the city, the KMWC is more than networking, it’s an opportunity to align yourself with a mission beyond growing your caseload and having enough disposable income left over after taxes that is known for their work with individuals and the community in which they live.

Negative, Ghost Rider. we value networking, but we don’t believe it has to be a gang with rivalry and exclusivity or a lot of work. we see value in business networking, but not at in all the “fluff.” we’re not the boss of you, there’s no minimums to hit, just a true desire to give back to a community of providers who truly want to make a difference in the world…and have fun doing it.

you give it to fast food restaurants and all that gives you is a trip to the bathroom. how about investing in your personal and professional development through growing your business, lending your voice to advocacy work across the state, and sip on a cocktail or mocktail on us as a “thank you” every month? seems like a better deal than a #1 with a Diet Coke to us. Our team works hard behind the scenes to find ways to contribute to local agencies and diversify educational offerings that are engaging and empowering. Instead of looking for ways to get involved in policies you care about such as destigmatizing mental health imbalances or access to quality care, we take the guess work out of it. need a referral for a complex case? our preferred providers are respected colleagues who help you for consultation or a referral out if needed.

absolutely not. the happy hour isn’t a place for debauchery. it’s just the most convenient time for us to gather. our founder is sober, many choose to not drink at all, and the goal isn’t to relive the glory days of our college years, the goal is to create meaningful relationships with people who get it, and sip on something delicious, with our without alcohol along the way.
tired of lame networking that feels like speed dating? join the kmwc!

Elizabeth westbrook has never met a stranger, and if she has, they weren’t for long. growing up all over the united states, she learned quickly how to build connections with people simply out of sheer social survival. with a heart for the outcast and those who feel on the fringe, her reputation for uniting the most unlikely of individuals has been with her for decades. she’s a native kansan who lives in texas and doesn’t intend to stay here. her mission is simple: leave this state better, kinder, and more educated than she found it. no small feat, but she’s thrilled to link arms with you in an effort to do it.
also, she got tired of the mutterings about therapy being called psychobabble in churches so she developed chips on both of her shoulders and has something to prove about what it means to be a Christian who has (and is) a therapist.

There are no obligations to refer within the collective like most networking groups. We don’t have hard lines on who is “in” and who is “out.” We get to know one another through our monthly events and through relationship formation and understanding of one another’s scope of work, THEN your fellow KMWC member may hear of a community need and throw your name in the ring. As members, we value our personal and professional reputations to willy nilly throw a name out that someone’s husband’s sister sees or who has the most Google reviews. We want to be discerning in the education and skillset of our colleagues enough to know that Rachel from Happy Life Counseling (not a real member) is the best fit for Seth who is struggling in his marriage due to work anxiety and wants to process complex childhood trauma than Jackson from You Can Do This Consulting (again, not a real member) who tends to focus more on solution focused, non clinical work. When you truly KNOW who you’re connecting clients to, it’s a game changer and we value having the respect in our community to do just that. Join us now!

a lot of individuals who attend our events aren’t. we’re intentionally an interdisciplinary group seeeking to make an impact. whether you’re in private practice and commit to offering sliding scale options as your caseload allows, a local small business owner who intentionally has policies in your organization to promote mental wellness, are a community advocate who wants to lend their voice, experience, and expertise to the macro level work we’re doing, a college student looking to connect with individuals who are a few steps ahead of you in your career, and more, we’d love to have you. thanks. we like our little collective a lot, too. and so do the over 100 individuals over the past few months who’ve made it to our monthly events. we can’t forget the local businesses who sponsor our events, too. it really is a beautiful family of people who want the best for those who have mental health imbalances. you’re welcome to become a member for $25/mo or come for free to The Happy Hour every month (though drinks are on your own tab.) You can sponsor one of our trainings or other events, reach out for paid marketing opportunities, apply to be a preferred provider, or simply follow us on Instagram for some humor, relatable tips, and updates on KMWC happenings. Now is the time. Join us!
